Preparing for a Girls Night Out by Natasha

ladies-nightAt long last you've managed to get a night out with your favourite girl friends because lets admit it; it has been ages since you went out on the town. Put your mp3 player on, blast out some dance music for example Dizzie Rascal, Bloc Party, and Shakira or whatever it is that gets you in the mood to party. Invite your friends to come over and get ready with you or to have a quick drink before you go, keep wine on hand or their favourite spirit. Before your friend(s) arrive, take a well earned shower. Washing the work-day off is very an imperative, shave you arm pits and legs, don’t make excuses like no one is going to notice them anyway, coz you never know,*wink.

Deodorant and lotion are a must. Apply deodorant now, so it dries before you put on  your outfit. Pick a lotion with a modest shimmer to it, or just standard lotion, make sure your legs and arms are moisturised. The next stage is styling your hair. Style your hair as you would when you want to look eye-catching, I advocate straightening curly hair for an altered look for the night or for straight hair it will give a silky look. The most significant element of the night is next, your outfit. Dressy or casual a dress is always fitting. Select an outfit that most flatters your body. If you don’t have the gear to wear, go shopping! Hopefully you would have done this prior to when you decided to go out. “Going out” dresses can be found everywhere.

You can buy dresses in a range of prices at local retailers check here for a great selection. These shops usually have a great assortment. Don’t be scared to show a little skin, it can be done without appearing trashy. You can never go wrong with the basic black, but if you wear black juxtapose it with bright colours; purple, red, silver, even pink can liven up the regular black dress. You can accent your dress by wearing an oversized belt synched around your waist with matching shoes or even shoes and a handbag. mascaraAfter you select your outfit, you can select an eye shadow colour, it doesn’t have match entirely, but something bright or a little more quiet can be chosen. Apply your makeup somewhat heavier just in case you go dancing or the ambient lighting is a little dark. Optionally you might want to try wearing fake eyelashes, they photograph well and can liven up your eyes. If you don’t apply fake eyelashes, use black mascara. Finally, time to put on your outfit. You will look magnificent in your stilettos, dress, and bag. Enjoy a glass (or even two) of wine or a shot with your girlfriends and you are prepared for a night out! Don’t overlook spraying perfume on your neck and behind your knees (scent evaporates throughout the evening). The last step is having a great time with your friends!
